Your top 10 ways to get fit after the holidays

My goal this year is to get healthy. I want to eat healthy, weigh a healthy weight, and look healthy. I get into ruts where I eat unhealthy and do not exercise. I want to get out of those ruts and make exercising and eating right a routine and part of my day. I have two kids under two so it has to be a conscious choice to do what is good for me. Usually when the kids are asleep I just want to relax and do nothing. They tire me out. Here are my top 10 ways to get fit!
  1. Denise's Daily Dozen- Awesome program! I don't want to go into it and ruin the review and giveaway in the line up for January 20. Come back on that day to learn more!
  2. Wii Fit Plus- I received the Wii Fit Plus for Christmas. I originally had the Wii Fit and loved it! I have not tried the Wii Fit Plus yet but I am looking forward to the improvements from the original Wii Fit.
  3. Eat salads twice a week. Salads are so good for you, and I actually find them delicious. The only drawback is I have to make sure I don't slather in unhealthy salad dressing.
  4. Wear Skechers Shape ups- I received a pair of Skechers Shape ups for Christmas. They really do work the muscles in your legs and butt. I have been wearing them for a week now. I am excited about owning them and being able to wear them all the time!
  5. Take vitamins- This sounds dumb but I am so bad at taking vitamins every day. I believe that vitamins keep you healthy therefore helping to stay fit. It's one of my goals to take them every day.
  6. Yoga- I LOVE yoga!  I need to work it my routine to do it on a regular basis.  I won a My Yoga 2 Go system and have used it only once since I received it.  I loved it the one time I used it but I have a hard time finding the time to use it.
  7. Managing my time- The one thing that keeps me from getting fit the most is I manage my time really badly.  It gets to the end of the day, and I realize I never had time to work out.  I usually end up goofing off when my kids are napping or I have a few minutes of free time.
  8. Limit junk food- I hate having tons of junk food in the house.  I usually like only one junk food in the house at a time.  If there are a ton, it is hard to limit my intake of them.  I never feel good when I eat a bunch of junk, and it keeps me from getting healthy.
  9. Limit tv watching- I sometimes watch tv too much.  I do not have cable but I have tons of DVDs, a tv converter, and a Roku box.  Time vegging on the couch consumes my day.  Time slips by without me realizing it.
  10. Walk every day- I feel good when I take a walk.  But I get lazy and do not take them.  Sometimes it is too cold, too hot, or raining but I should not use that as an excuse.  I can walk inside.  The Wii Fit Plus even has a walking exercise.
