Webkinz Jr. are very cute stuffed animals and also a website that encourages 3-5 year olds to imagine, explore, and learn. I'm excited that Ganz- creators of Webkinz made Webkinz Jr. for young children. I love finding exciting websites that are safe for young eyes and ears. Children get a special access code to the virtual world on Webkinz Jr. with every plush animal they receive. Parents log in to set your child's skill level and manage the account; then the child gets to care for their pet, play with their pet, and earn coins to buy things for their animal.
Connor LOVES his tan puppy that we received to review. It's his "baby" and takes it everywhere with. It travels to bed, to play time, to the car, and to stores. "Baby" gets put in the jumperoo when Micah isn't in it, is put to bed with a blanket on him (we are told to shhh when "baby" is sleeping), and "baby" gets fed. That was all before he even got to see the website. I don't usually let Connor play on the computer but I let him help me take care of the pet. I feel like the website is really fun and appropriate for young children; it's easy to maneuver and play. Connor was able to play with the pet and feed him by himself. Connor was so proud of himself and excited that he could do something on the computer.
