I have fallen in love with mineral makeup. It is great for the skin and creates a flawless look. But I have always hated that when I buy mineral makeup, it ends up getting EVERYWHERE. I never could figure out why companies did not do a better job of packaging their makeup. I would have thought they take the time and effort to figure out how to make a good applicator.
I found The Original Mineral Saver from a review on another blog. I thought wow why didn't I think of that. It's a great idea, and I was thrilled to be able to try it out myself. It is manufactured by my élan cosmetics and created by Christine M. Richardson, a retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel.
Behind the product: Christine Richardson started using mineral makeup about 5 years while actively serving in the military. She needed something that traveled easily and wasn't liquid. But whenever she got to her hotel the mineral makeup would get everywhere when she opened up the jar. The sifter area would be full of mineral. She thought that it would be nice if there was a shield to keep the mineral from coming into the sifter and getting everywhere so she decided to create one herself.
I am personally very impressed with The Original Mineral Saver. It does its job very well. I have not had one spill since receiving it. It has gone to places in my purse and in the diaper bag so it gets bumped and moved all around. Mine came in a jar of Avon Mineral Foundation and fits rather nicely in there. That works perfectly for me since I love Avon products.
BUY IT: The Original Mineral Saver is available in eight different sizes that fit most major brands including, bare Escentuals, Raw Minerals, Avon, Sheer Cover, American Beauty, and Maybelline. They come in packages of 4 sponges that range from $4.99 to $7.99 depending on the size. The website also offers a compatibility chart so you can see if your makeup manufacturer is listed

I love the honesty behind your reviews. Too bad I didn't think of inventing "The Original Mineral Saver!" I've often been bothered when I open my mineral makeup and I end up with peach dust all over the counter--now I have a solution! I'm following you from MBC. come follow me at www.achristianmommy.com.
