CLOSED ERGObaby Review and Giveaway

There are so many options out there for baby carriers.  There are slings, wraps, and carriers.  Some are designed to wear in front, some on the hip, and some on the back, and each one is designed for different weights and stages.  Personally I love the ERGObaby carriers.  There are some beautiful prints available.

Here is the skinny about the ERGObaby carriers.  They have a recommended weight limit of 40 lbs but have been tested up to 90 lbs.  It will accommodate you and your child as long as yall are happy using it.  The actual carrier itself is for 4-6 months and up because there is no head support; if you want to use an ERGObaby with newborns to 4-6 months, you'll need to buy an infant insert ($25-$38).  ERGObaby carriers can be worn in the front, back, or on the side.  It gives lots of options for you and your baby.  Your baby should always be facing toward your body though and not be worn facing out.  

My husband and I love using the ERGObaby.  It doesn't hurt my back and my children are comfortable in it.  Connor doesn't like riding in it but he has never liked being stationary or in a carrier for some reason.  Micah on the other hand always wants to be in it.  We had another carrier before the ERGObaby but Micah didn't fit in it anymore.  I am so happy to be able to wear my baby again!  Just for reference, Micah is 22 lbs 10 oz, 30.75 inches tall, and 1 year old.  Connor is 2.5 years old, 3 feet tall, and approximately 37 lbs.  I was comfortable carrying both of them.  I wish Connor enjoyed cuddling with his Mommy more than he does so I could wear him more.  My husband is very happy with the color we got which is black with camel lining;  it is manly enough. :)  I have heard that other husbands are not fans of prints and girly colors so there are definitely color options that even men would wear.  There are waist extensions ($8) for those that need the extra room.  And there are backpacks ($48-$64) and front pouches ($21-$22) to match the ERGObaby carriers.
