I love collecting artifacts from or about the time when my children were born. I want them to have information about the year they were born when they are older and curious about it. I love learning about things that happened the year I was born whether blockbusters, highest rated songs, and news articles. It is, also, always neat to find out what celebrities share my birthday. I found a cute product, the Birthday Chronicle, that gives you a front pages newspaper looking article with information about a person's birthday and birth year. It's sold at A Gift Anytime, which has so many cute personalized items.
I received the Birthday Chronicle for my oldest; I ordered it for his fourth birthday in March. The turn around time from the time you order a product and actually receive the product is really fast. She strives to get the product to the customer as quickly as she can. All the products are emailed straight to you in a PDF format. The Birthday Chronicle looks exactly like a mini newspaper's front page with a headline, the date of the person's birth, weather forecast, and stories. The really unique feature is it has a note from the President at the time welcoming the person into the world, so for my son it's President Bush proclaiming that March 8, 2008 is a national holiday because Connor was born. I thought that was cute. The "newspaper" shows the top headlines of 2008 which are pretty grim for my son; it was not a good year economically. There are a few newsworthy articles about 2008 including who won the world series in 2008 and a couple of the top songs. There is an "article" about who shares my son's birthday, March 8, and says as of March 8, 2012, Connor will have been alive for 1,461 days. I'm scared to see how many days I've been alive. :) Connor was born in the year of the rat, which the Birthday Chronicle features; I was also born the year of the rat. I think it is a really cute product and would make a fun birthday present for anyone, young or old. They can do any date from January 1, 1900 up to December 31, 2010. I hope it doesn't get lost before my son is an adult. I plan to frame it and put it in his room on the wall.
The woman who makes this wonderful product, also, has a blog called Because I Tried It. Her name is Casie, and is a work at home mother of 6! I can't imagine having 6 children, my blog, and my own business. I personally think she is a super mom. She likes to give away a free item every month, and you can only learn about what she is giving away by following the links below. Sometimes she will only talk about it on one of the sources, so if you are interested in knowing what the free item is every month the best thing to do is follow all three.
